Juanita Giles (RYT-200) is a trauma survivor who is passionate about teaching people to heal and nurture themselves in ways that are sustaining for a lifetime. Juanita specializes in trauma-sensitive yoga primarily targeting individuals who have experienced sexual trauma, not limiting to helping those who have experienced other forms of trauma (PTSD & C-PTSD) and uses mindfulness, meditation, restorative yoga, and yoga philosophy to teach and heal. They are an expert at creating a safe space where gentle body movements, incorporated with breathing, mindfulness and meditation, are weaved into one healing modality. Juanita believes that everyone has the power to respond positively to the events of their lives, that their events don’t define them, and that every event in people’s lives helps to illuminate their embodied resilience. Believing that all people have the capacity to feel whole, grounded, and connected to themselves —body, mind, heart. Being mindful with our bodies, nature, and our own surroundings are pivotal in establishing wholeness within ourselves and others.
